Orca Island was part of the the AK stayca, but I thought this heavenly trip deserved its own post. Nestled in Humpy cove Resurrection Bay out of Seward, is a Swiss family Robinsonesque collection of yurts built over lava rock and surrounded by tide pools, otters and beautiful AK mountains. We made the most of our one night on the island, enjoying the sun deck, making s'mores on the lava rock fire pit and kayaking with the sea otters. This trip definitely ranks among my all time favorite destinations!
This place looks super awesome! I want to go! I want to kayak too!!!
