Blueberry Adventures
We braved the cold and the rain this Labor Day weekend with one very important task---blueberry hunting. We headed north of Anchorage to Hatcher's Pass to hike and collect fresh wild Alaskan blueberries. I had visions of bringing back enough fruit to stock my freezer for winter. While that didn't exactly happen, we had fun in a really beautiful area of AK and were able to bring home enough blueberries to snack on for the next couple days--or some blueberry pancakes sound pretty good--hmmm:) I was also able to use my new iPhone and consequently all those fun photo apps. Hawkins had a blast running around the mountain eating fruit with only one minor tumble into a blueberry bush. It was clear from the all the changing colors and cooler temps that fall is here in the AK! Cheers to a new season!
